Success can be dangerous; comfort is when guard drops and intensity with God dwindles. Working from Exodus 2 and Deuteronomy 18 , this message reads the life of Moses as a window into God's persistent hand on a life. Drawn from the Nile, raised in Pharaoh's house, Moses is shown as fully human, a sinner who killed a man and ran, yet not abandoned by God. The turn comes at the burning bush. When Moses protests, "Who am I?", God's answer is not flattery but presence: "I will be with you." The exposition then follows Moses' greatest act, pointing forward to a prophet God would raise up, fulfilled in Jesus the Messiah, confirmed in Peter's confession and Jesus' own words that Moses wrote about him. The application is direct: like Moses, every believer is sent with a message and the same promise of God's presence in the sending.

Working through 1 Peter 2 , this message argues that holiness is not earned by adding good or subtracting bad. Sustaining draws on the Psalms' repeated call to cast cares on the Lord, who alone upholds what family, work, and entertainment cannot. Abiding , from John 15 and Galatians 2:20, means dying to self so Christ lives in and through us. The application is practical and unhurried: build regular rhythms of prayer, servanthood, and confession, expecting slow growth rather than instant results.

This Christmas message defines the season simply: the Creator came to be with us in human form so that we might know him. From John 1 , the Word who made all things took on flesh and made his dwelling among us. The contrast is with every other religion, summarized as “DO” — what we must perform to earn God. Christianity is “DONE” — what Christ has accomplished through his life, death, and resurrection. We become children of God only through the Son. Before Jesus, God's presence was terrifying — Abraham's vision, Moses' veiled face, the high priest with a rope around his ankle. The humility of the Christ child sends the opposite message: we may now draw near with security, not condemnation, to the God who has always been in the business of revealing himself.
