I’m Dawn Mimnaugh, Founding President and primary caretaker of Woody's Place Senior German Shepherd Sanctuary. I have over a decade of hands-on experience caring for German Shepherds eight years and older.
Woody’s Place Senior German Shepherd Sanctuary, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Greentown, Pa. Since our start in 2011, it has been our mission to provide exceptional life-long care for older German Shepherds who have been abandoned by their previous owners. Through our dedicated team of experienced caregivers, we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where these dogs can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. By promoting responsible pet ownership and establishing strong community partnerships, we aim to raise awareness about the unique needs of senior dogs while also advocating for their protection and welfare. Ultimately, our mission is to give these loyal companions the second chance they deserve by providing them with the best possible quality of life in their golden years.
Our vision is to ensure that every abandoned older German Shepherd receives the love, care, and attention they deserve throughout their entire lives.
