  • LIFT #32: Doing All the Things. Still Not Enough.

You worked hard all day. You taught, fed, cleaned, answered a thousand questions, and still went to bed feeling like you didn’t do enough. Sound familiar?

In this episode, we look at the story of Martha and Mary in Luke 10 and ask a hard question: what if some of the weight we carry as homeschool moms doesn’t come from our to-do list, but from the stories we tell ourselves about it?

    You’ll learn:

    • Why we measure our days by what’s unfinished, and how that steals our joy
    • A simple two-question test for catching anxious thoughts: Is this from God? Does it bring me closer to Him?
    • Six practical ways to do Martha’s work with Mary’s heart

You can’t stop being Martha. The meals, lessons, and laundry still have to happen. But you can do it all with your eyes on Jesus Christ.

  • LIFT #31: Why Homeschool Feels So Heavy

What If Homeschool Isn’t the Only Thing Weighing You Down?

Some days homeschooling feels heavy, and it’s not always because of the math lesson or the toddler under the table. Sometimes we’re carrying a lot more than our responsibilities.

In this episode, we look at five hidden weights homeschool moms often pick up without noticing:

    1. Trying to do enough
    2. Needing to know you’re doing it right
    3. Making every hard moment mean something about you
    4. Believing you should be able to do it all
    5. Feeling like everything is up to you

The work of homeschooling is real, and it’s beautifully hard. But you don’t have to keep adding fear, comparison, and “shoulds” on top of it. We’ll talk about how to tell the difference between what God has asked you to carry and what you’ve picked up on your own. We’ll also look at Christ’s invitation in Matthew 11:28–30 to come unto Him when you’re heavy laden.

LIFT Coaching helps homeschool moms bring God into their teaching and feel confident in what they’re teaching their kids.

  • LIFT #30: What If You're Not Doing It Wrong?

Maybe you don’t need a better system.

If you’ve ever ended your day wondering how you can possibly keep up with homeschool, your house, your kids, your relationships, your health, your spiritual life—and everything else—this conversation is for you.

I recently received a question from a mom in LIFT Together who said she keeps thinking, “Maybe I’ll figure out a better way to do it all,” but she hasn’t found it yet. She feels like she’s constantly doing what’s urgent, her to-do list keeps growing, and she has less energy and confidence for homeschool because she doesn’t have the plan she thinks she should have.

I think so many of us are living in that exact cycle.

What if the way you’re doing it isn’t actually the problem?

In this episode, we’re going to slow down and look at three questions that can help you step out of the constant pressure to fix, improve, organize, and get ahead. We’ll talk about what is actually yours to do, how discernment is different from failure, and why “enough” doesn’t have to mean everything got done.

Most importantly, we’ll talk about what happens when we stop trying to carry everything ourselves and invite God into the question: What do You need me to do today?

You may not need another planner, another routine, or another system.

  • LIFT #29: What to Do When Homeschool Ends in Tears

What do you do when homeschool ends in tears?

Maybe your child is frustrated, you’ve been pushing a little too long, and suddenly a simple math lesson has turned into a full-blown emotional moment. If you’ve ever ended a homeschool day wondering, “How did we get here?”—you are not alone.

In this episode of LIFT Where You Stand, we’re talking about what to do when homeschool ends in tears—and even more importantly, how to recognize what’s happening before you get there. We’ll talk about knowing your child’s warning signs, discerning when to push through and when to step back, recognizing when a struggle has become a battle for control, and reconnecting after a hard moment.

The goal isn’t a homeschool where nobody ever cries. The goal is learning how to listen, discern, and lead through the hard.

Your child doesn’t need a perfect homeschool. They need to know they are safe to have hard feelings, loved when things are hard, and that tomorrow you get to try again.

  • LIFT #28: Why Homeschool Feels Harder Than I Expected

Have you ever thought, “I knew homeschooling was going to be hard, but I didn't think it was going to be this hard”?

In this episode, we're talking about what happens when the reality of homeschooling doesn't look anything like the picture you had in your head. Sometimes homeschooling really is hard, but sometimes the thing making it feel even harder is the way we're thinking about what is happening.

I'll show you how to separate the facts from the story you're telling yourself, recognize what is actually yours to do, and use your thoughts as a tool instead of allowing them to create more overwhelm.

Because you don't have to know exactly how to homeschool every situation. You can learn to pause, think, pray, figure it out, and move forward with confidence.

And sometimes, nothing in your homeschool changes—but everything changes because you changed the way you look at it.

  • LIFT #27: My Child Won't Listen During Homeschool

What do you do when your child just won’t listen during homeschool? Before assuming your child is being defiant—or that you’re doing something wrong—there may be more going on. In this episode, we’ll get curious about what’s underneath the resistance, look at the difference between listening and complying, and talk about practical ways to respond without turning every difficult moment into a power struggle. Most importantly, we’ll come back to what is yours to do, what is God’s to do, and the kind of relationship you want your children to remember.

  • LIFT #26: How Do I Know I Am Doing Enough?

    Am I Doing Enough?

If you’ve ever ended a homeschool day thinking, “We didn’t get enough done,” this episode is for you. We’re taking a closer look at the question so many homeschooling moms carry: Am I doing enough? What if the better question is, “Enough for what?”

Let’s talk about purpose, comparison, the badge of busyness, and how we can stop measuring our homeschool by how much we accomplish and start focusing on what matters most. You may not need to do more—you may simply need to do less with more intention.

  • LIFT #25: New to Homeschooling? Start Here.

Thinking about homeschooling but feeling overwhelmed by where to begin? You are not alone. In this episode, I’m sharing six things I wish someone had told me when I first started homeschooling.

We’ll talk about why you don’t need to recreate school at home, how to build a rhythm instead of a rigid schedule, finding your “why,” choosing curriculum without overthinking it, and why confidence comes from doing—not having everything figured out first.

If you’re new to homeschooling and wondering, “Okay… now what?” this episode is for you. Take a breath, friend. You don’t have to know everything to get started. ❤️
