(Anonyme Komfortafhængige: Afgiftning fra Feel-Good-kristendom)
Me, scrolling through the church announcements:
" Hmm... I wonder what’s going on at church this Sabbath… Who’s preaching? Is it someone "cool", or will it be another long, dry sermon?... Oh, no! Not him again... Are they playing my music, or that old stuff again? Is there pot-luck after, or do I have to go home hungry? I hope my friends are coming—maybe we can hang out or play some ball after. I really hope it’s not going to be boring. I just want to feel good, relax, and have a nice time.”
But another thought keeps knocking ...
Is this what church is supposed to be for me—a place to be entertained, to get what I want, to feel good?
Am I showing up for Jesus, or just for myself?
What if the music isn’t my style, the sermon isn’t short, and my friends aren’t there—would I still come?
If there’s no potluck, no fun, no “good vibes,” would I still want to worship?
Am I just looking for a spiritual buffet, picking what I like and skipping what I don’t?
When did I last ask God, “What do You want from me today?” instead of “What do I want from church?”
Am I willing to be challenged, stretched, even made uncomfortable for the sake of real discipleship?
Or am I just addicted to feeling good, to being served, to staying in my comfort zone?
If Jesus walked in, would He pick me up as a disciple ready to follow Him anywhere—or just another consumer waiting to be pleased?
Maybe it’s time to detox from feel-good Christianity.
Maybe it’s time to ask: What if church isn’t about me at all?

Light Channel TV is passionate about Seeking and Spreading the Truth Before It's Too Late
In a world filled with uncertainty, where distractions pull us in countless directions, the call to seek the truth has never been more urgent. The Bible reminds us in John 8:32, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” This truth is not an abstract idea—it’s found in Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Time is fleeting, and eternity hangs in the balance. Each moment is a gift, an opportunity to draw closer to God and discover His plan for your life. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “Now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation.” We are not guaranteed tomorrow, but today you can begin a journey that leads to eternal peace and purpose.
Don’t let the noise of the world drown out the whisper of the Holy Spirit calling you. Lay aside fear, doubt, and pride, and open your heart to God’s Word. As Isaiah 55:6-7 exhorts us:
“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.”
This is a moment of grace—a chance to turn from what is fleeting to what is eternal. Don’t wait until it’s too late. The world offers temporary pleasures, but Jesus offers abundant life, both now and forever (John 10:10).
Step into the light of God’s truth. Open His Word, pray for wisdom, and watch as He transforms your heart, your mind, and your eternity. The door is open, but it won’t always be. Choose truth. Choose life. Choose Jesus.
