Helping Comebacks Come Back

This chapter could be considered as "next-level discipleship." Jesus takes commitment to another level and while addressing watershed topics, Jesus draws a line between the world's views and those views of the Kingdom of God. The ways of the Kingdom is upside down compared to the ways of the world. Therefore, our worship is our response to what God provides His people in and through His Kingdom.

This chapter is a sobering lesson on how Disciples must manage personal relationships (particularly in the church) if the Kingdom of God is going to be a reality where people live today.

Matthew 16:13-19 - Theme: This passage of Scripture is the only place in the Bible where Jesus specifically says that He is going to build His Church. Not only does Jesus speak of the fact that He's going to build a Church, He gives a clear commentary on what He's going to build His Church out of: people who know who he is.
