John the Baptist was a man of thresholds--they are mysterious, full of potential and always very dramatic. It is the will of the Father to free us from our sin, and baptism is a threshold through which we step to do that.

There are consequences to unbelief, but living as if our master is a good master frees us to invest the gifts and talents we are given and reap incredible rewards.

The Apostle John captures something essential to being a Christian, and it is something completely different than how the world thinks a kingdom is established. It is all about heart-to-heart relationship and leaning into the heart of God.
