  • What Is A Christian? | Catechesis Ep. 004
This episode defines a Christian not by external markers such as doctrine, baptism, or moral behavior, but by the fundamental reality of belonging to Jesus Christ. It argues that true conversion involves the Holy Spirit effectually applying Christ's redemption to spiritually dead sinners, resulting in a new union with Him. The episode emphasizes that salvation is entirely by grace through faith, distinguishing saving faith from mere intellectual assent or cultural association. Consequently, this union with Christ becomes the source of justification, adoption, and sanctification, transforming the believer's identity and motivating obedience. The episode concludes by affirming that this belonging to Christ provides ultimate hope and defines the Christian life as a communal discipleship rooted in the resurrection.

  • Proclaiming Glorious Light
"Those who have tried to reach Mohammedans with the gospel message and who are in the midst of the work, do not call for retreat, but for reinforcements and advance. They know that in this mighty conflict we have nothing to fear save our own sloth and inactivity." Samuel Zwemer's words echo Paul's own declaration in 2 Corinthians 4:1-6, "having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart." Whether by rejection or affliction, the mission has countless reasons for discouragement. And discouragement can lead to compromise. But we advance, determined to change neither message nor method.

  • The Most High Rules
I came to the book of Daniel prepared to preach Christ from the heroic prophetic feats of the title character. Surely he is the great type of Christ in his own book! And indeed, as we will see Daniel consistently acts as prophet and priest throughout his time in Babylon, with parallels to the Son of Man that are not to be taken lightly. But in chs. 2 & 4, much to my surprise, I have discovered that the great type of the Son of Man is not Daniel, but Nebuchadnezzar! The pagan monarch, the Babylonian tyrant, the destroyer of God's temple, the man who surely ought to be a one-dimensional villain — that man is like Christ in numerous ways. We saw in ch. 2 that he is called "kings of kings" and that he is the "head of gold," a description that overlaps the description of the Beloved in Song of Solomon 5. But those parallels are small potatoes compared to the narrative arc of Daniel 4, in which we see humiliation and exaltation, a cosmic tree cut down and then regrown. Yes, clearly Nebuchadnezzar is not Christ. But he is like Him in some key ways, ways that mark out the Babylonian as a foil character whose flaws highlight the perfections of the lion of the tribe of Judah. Particularly in his humiliation and exaltation, Nebuchadnezzar reminds us of the humiliation and exaltation of the Son of Man, and teaches us the lesson he learned: conformity to Christ requires humility.

  • A Message for Tonight
Bible Reading: Job 33:14 1. God first speaking 2. God further speaking 3. God finally speaking The sermon explores the persistent and powerful nature of God's voice as described in Job 33, emphasizing that God speaks through creation, providence, and the proclamation of the gospel. It highlights how individuals often fail to perceive these divine communications due to spiritual blindness or neglect, citing examples from Adam and Cain to biblical figures like Felix and Agrippa. The message serves as a convicting call to recognize God's repeated invitations to repentance and faith, warning that the opportunity for grace is finite. By contrasting the darkness of unbelief with the light of the gospel, the speaker urges the audience to trust in Christ as the only Savior before the door of mercy closes.

  • WHEN GOD DECLASSIFIES THE SECRETS
WHEN GOD DECLASSIFIES THE SECRETS. [What Is Hidden Will One Day Be Revealed] Luke 12:1–3 KJV For decades, secret aircraft such as the U-2 and A-12 OXCART flew from highly classified facilities while the public wondered what was moving through the heavens. Today mankind continues searching distant worlds for answers about the universe. Yet Scripture begins with the ultimate answer: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."In this message, the mystery of classified files becomes a picture of a much greater spiritual truth. God sees what we have classified, God will reveal what we have covered, and God can cleanse what we could never erase. One day the books will be opened, but through the blood of Jesus Christ the sinner can be forgiven today.Man can classify a secret for decades, but nothing has ever been classified from Almighty God.

  • Come Thou and All Thy House into the Ark
When the Lord Jesus Christ likens His coming to the days of Noah, does He liken it to the ark lifted up, or to the flood that "took them all away" (Matthew 24:39)? Read Matthew 24:44 and ask whether "such an hour as ye think not" (Matthew 24:44) is an hour no man can know, or an hour a man has already decided He will not come. Then ask how long the men outside the ark had watched it built, and what they did with their last seven days. "For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights." (Genesis 7:4)
