Light on SermonAudio

The radical power of the Gospel confronts the values, priorities, and sins of this present world. When the enemies of the early Christians cried, "These that have turned the world upside down" they were unwittingly testifying to the transforming impact of Christ's message. The Gospel does not just improve lives, it brings sinners from darkness to light, death to life, rebellion to surrender, and self-rule to the lordship of Christ. The Gospel shook cities then and still changes hearts today. It challenges false worship, calls us to repent, believe, and live under the reign of the risen King.

Many believers struggle to understand their everlasting future and often wonder what is heaven like. Scripture reveals that our eternal inheritance is not a floating existence, but rather a tangible reality involving a literal thousand year kingdom followed by a new heavens and new earth. Believers will receive sinless, physical bodies perfectly suited for this restored world to engage in meaningful work and rich fellowship free from the curse of sin. Setting your mind on things above means focusing your affections on Jesus Christ and living today in light of this glorious expectation.

Going through the book of Daniel line by line.

Christ's dealing with the woman at the well shows believers how to speak to souls wisely, personally, and with God at the center. From John 4 we see that true evangelism often happens in ordinary daily encounters, not in organized campaigns, and that believers should be ready to speak first, use everyday circumstances as a doorway, and turn the conversation toward God and eternal things. We can see how Jesus moved the woman from earthly thoughts about water and daily burdens to the deeper need of her soul, eventually bringing her sin into the light without a careless or confrontational approach. Believers need to be filled with the Word of God, alert to divine appointments, willing to speak a good word for the Lord, and careful to let God expose the heart so sinners may come face to face with Him, their sin, and the living water only Christ can give.
