  • What Happens When the New Wears Off? | Luke 10
What Happens When the New Wears Off? Luke 10:1, 17-20 The seventy came back rejoicing. They had gone out two by two. They had preached, served, witnessed, healed, and watched the power of God work in front of their eyes. They had seen things most of us have only read about. They came back with the kind of excitement that fills a man when he knows God has used him. They said, "Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name." That was not a small thing. That was not a light report. But Jesus stepped into their joy and lifted it higher. He said, "Notwithstanding in this rejoice not...ย but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven." The Lord was not saying, "Do not rejoice at all." He was saying, "Do not make this your deepest joy. That brings us to the question of the hour: What happens when the new wears off? • The Gospel That Brings Light
Pastor Jeremiah Gabbard | 2Cor. 4:3-7 "What Satan seeks to blind men from, God uses to regenerate men withโ€”the light of the glorious gospel of Christ." The sermon explores the transformative power of the gospel as a source of spiritual light for those in darkness. It outlines four key truths from 2 Corinthians 4, emphasizing that the message is hidden to the lost and that Satan actively blinds minds to prevent belief. The preacher argues that humanity's primary need is not information but spiritual reconciliation through faith in Jesus Christ. By contrasting spiritual blindness with the illuminating work of God, the text highlights the necessity of preaching Christ crucified. The message concludes with an urgent call for individuals to accept this free gift of salvation and for believers to share this light with others.

  • Why Should Anyone Believe Jesus?
The sermon argues that belief in Jesus Christ is justified by his divine origin, his authoritative testimony from heaven, and the eternal consequences of accepting or rejecting him. It contrasts earthly perspectives with the truth revealed by Jesus, who alone has seen and heard from the Father. True faith involves certifying God's truthfulness through one's life, while unbelief constitutes disobedience to clear light. The message emphasizes that believers possess everlasting life now, whereas unbelievers currently endure the abiding wrath of God. Ultimately, the preacher urges listeners to turn away from self and place their complete trust in Jesus as the Lamb of God.

Before the garden, before the man, before any man had sinned, the Son of God stepped forward as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Why does one sin against God earn an eternity in hell? Why did God curse the serpent when Satan was the one working in him? And what did Almighty God do about a debt no man could pay? The text answers every one, verse by verse.
