Light + Truth

The Christian life is one of prayer. Without it, we’ll wither away, but with it, we’ll flourish like a tree beside water.

God can put his people through the fires of suffering to awaken our appetite for prayer.

Though the world in darkness lay, God entered into the universe this Christmas day. For sinners he came to save, and forevermore King Jesus will reign.

Jesus is worthy of praise because he is the eternal Son of God who became flesh and died our death that we might live. To God be glory through Jesus.

Sanctification is both something we do and something God does. We must work hard to obey, but only God’s grace sustains us in the fight.

What the world needs from the church is our indomitable joy in Jesus in the midst of suffering and sorrow.

Our deepest need is peace with God, and our greatest enemy is sin. God answers both in the Christmas miracle of his Incarnate Son.

Christmas is for salvation. God sent his Son into the world to save it, not condemn it. To who else, then, shall we go?

Christ came at Christmas to build a bridge across the chasm of sin to eternal life, but the name of the bridge is purity. Christmas is for purity.

All Christians have the high, spiritual status of being a chid of God. And with this high standing, there is a call to go low.
