In this episode of Lightboard Lessons, I break out my “router guy” hat from days gone by to deliver an overview of BGP, the border gateway protocol. This exterior gateway routing protocol is “THE” standard for exchanging routing information between autonomous systems. What does this have to do with F5 and BIG-IP? Well, even though the BIG-IP is primarily a platform for application services in the upper layers, it speaks layer three quite well via the ZebOS license.
