"In what do you serve?" This week's thought-provoking teaching from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, calls us to look inwardly and ask this question of ourselves.

How is it possible to love your enemies, when they make it so easy for us to be dislike them? This sermon gives to us some Jesus-breathed instructions on how to make an enemy a friend, and reconcile a relationship that seemed beyond repair.

Jesus' radical teaching in the Sermon on the Mount, instructs us to live out a greater righteousness. Today's text has a word to say to us about our stubborn hearts (listen) and our anger (forgive).

The Beatitudes of Jesus are a reversal of the world's patterns as we know it. The challenge for us is: will we choose the ways of the upside Kingdom of God or will we choose the ways of a me-first culture, country & world?

The Kingdom of God that Jesus came here to establish on earth, flipped the world as we knew it upside down. For to live into the new kingdom culture that he created, Jesus calls us to be the "Salt of the Earth" & the "Light of the World."

What if we began to ask the Lord how he could use us for his purposes? How would that change you? How would that change the people surrounding you in your life? We look to this dangerous prayer of Isaiah's..."Here I am Lord, Send Me!"

What if we dared asked God to search our hearts and reveal to us what shouldn't be there? How would that change us? It's a dangerous prayer that we cannot afford to avoid praying.

The Ten Commandments were given for many reasons and in this message we'll see one of the main reasons was to form a people who would be difference-makers in the world.
