Lightnin' Licks Radio

Jay and Deon Discuss what it takes to outshine your own debut effort and essentially defeat the sophomore slump. The Lickers take deep dives into a few of their favorite second long player releases of all time. Along the way, some of life's most pressing questions are answered (or at least asked) like:  Would there really be a Nirvana if there was never an AC/DC? Team Blane or Team Duckie? Is Duncan Kilburn actually a sax God or is it all just smoke and mirrors? Etc, etc, etc.

Jay tells tales of mid-80s new wave pen pals, discusses his admiration for the film New Wave Hookers, describes how it feels to discover "new" music through hip-hop artists' use of imaginative samples, and MORE! Jay brings a crate of records into the studio and crafts Deon a slammin' mix tape flush with goth-glam-post-punk-alt-indie-power pop goodness.
