The Book of Zechariah, Part 16

The Book of Zechariah is a time-travel scroll which will bring us through many visions and revelations where we will see how God is observing and noting the actions of man. He is carefully regulating the flow of history and preparing His glorious coming to earth.

In this book, the past, the present and the future are often intertwined within the same scene, and even in the same couplet of verses. Time, in all its forms, is frequently reduced to a moment so that one can see the beginning and the end where, regardless of the problem or the size of the giants, our LORD is always sovereign and His Word is continually at work. Please join us for this most awesome book where we see the unity of the Godhead, yet at the same time the divisibility in function of the Father, Son (Messiah) and Holy Spirit.

In the 847th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway, Mike Holtz, and Connor Richards come to you from Level 9 Studio to preview the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table. Who is at the final table of nine? How did they get there? And who do they think will win? Find out here.

Plus, hear how Kristen Foxen fell just short of becoming only the second woman in WSOP history to make the Main Event final table, including her much-discussed final hand. Speaking of big hands, Adrian Mateos suffered back-to-back big hands before bowing out on Day 5. Sometimes poker can be cruel, and his fate is evidence of that.

On a positive note, Patrik Antonius became the 2024 inductee into the Poker Hall of Fame. The online and cash game legend became just the fifth European to be inducted, and he was on-site at the WSOP to accept the honor. See pictures and a video of the Finnish pro accepting his Poker Hall of Fame trophy.

Finally, hear about recent WSOP gold bracelet winners including Jared Bleznick, Gary Bolden, Joseph Sanders, and Calvin Anderson; Jeremy Ausmus tying Phil Hellmuth's WSOP final table record; and other winners from Venetian and Wynn. Oh, and learn about recent WSOP Online bracelet winners such as Mike Watson, David Prociak, and Mo Nuwwarah.

A new PokerNews Podcast will drop twice weekly during the 2024 WSOP every Tuesday and Friday at 8a PT / 11a ET / 4p UK time. Remember to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you do not miss an episode!

I am so grateful to God, that He is merciful and forgiving. And more than that, our God allows new beginnings. And if we're wise, we are going to take advantage of God's grace, mercy and forgiveness and begin anew. And in actuality, that has a lot to do with repentance. And we have seen in the Scripture, that heaven rejoices over one who repents, and repent sincerely. And we are in the midst of our study from the book of Luke, we are in chapter 15.

Even in the midst of Mardi Gras madness, there is an opportunity to spread the joy of Christ. Tara Dew has shared Jesus in her community by going into the heart of New Orleans to proclaim the Gospel. She is the president’s wife of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, director of Thrive ministries, and author of Overflowing Joy: What Jesus Says About a Joy-Filled Life. She discusses what it’s like to witness during Mardi Gras celebrations and discusses the three big Ps of her book: Pruning, Presence, and Persevering in God’s commands. She also talks about why women often feel like they are not doing well in life, thanks to unfair pressures and social media illusions. Don’t let the world distract you, she says. Jesus alone is our life and our joy.

TAKEAWAYS

Jesus is the rooted vine that gives life to the branches, which represent us

Comparison is a thief of joy

We often forget that attitudes are contagious and that our JOY can be contagious

Mardi Gras is more scandalous in the French Quarter where the partying takes place, but offers an excellent opportunity to witness
