Donna Watson’s son Troy became addicted to pain pills after he was run over by a car in high school. His addiction became a decade long battle that eventually took his life. Donna is now an advocate for the opiate crisis, and she warns thousands about how her son died. For starters, she says he was clean and sober when he was coerced to be a drug informant for law enforcement. This job put him back on a path of drug addiction that eventually led to his death when he took a pill that was supposed to be oxytocin, but ended up being the deadly drug fentanyl. Donna warns about the dangers of fentanyl and talks about the importance of having Narcan - an opioid reversal medication - on hand for an emergency.

The FlightSim Studio team has updated its 727F to version 1.02, bringing with it a range of changes and improvements over the original release. The plane originally released at the start of August 2024 and has already seen a few minor updates adressing feedback from customers once it was in their hands.

The new update brings with it some new features and improvements. Firstly, you can now bring your own stairs to the door should "GSX […] give you a hard time". With the INS, the alignment phase has been implemented realistically, and there is now a way to import a SimBrief flight plan directly into your plane. Finally, the EFB now allows you to override the environmental values.

There is of course a range of bug fixes within this update, all of which you can read in the changelog down below.

With this update now out of the way, the team is focusing its attention to flight modelling and GNS-XLS flight management system. The team said that they have a community in their Discord who has put together a flight model mod, which they say that they will implement once it is more mature. As for the GNS-XLS flight management system, there is sadly no timeline associated with it at this time.

If you want to pick up a copy of the 727F from FlightSim Studio, you can do so from Aerosoft for €33.58 (excluding tax). It is also available on Contrail.
