National Savings Month.- 01 -31 July 2020
July has been designated National Savings Month by the Savings Institute of South Africa. It is unfortunate that a report that was published by the institution revealed that “The young tend to save less and spend more. With 20 million people aged between 15 and 34, South Africa has a young population that is increasingly relying on credit". This has a negative economic impact on the country and ordinary citizens. They engaged in an open discussion to look at some of the contributing factors, and also make suggestions on the role of parents and how teenagers can improve their spending habit to ensure financial freedom for the future.
