After a much longer break than planned, Like Father, Unlike Daughter is finally back.
In this episode, Eloise is about to start high school, which means a lot of excitement, a lot of nerves, and a lot of overthinking, especially from Dad. We talk about what it feels like to leave primary school behind, start something completely new, and step into a place that feels bigger, busier, and a little bit intimidating.
We also talk about making friends, including starting high school with some primary school friends, saying goodbye to familiar routines, and trying to stay positive about meeting new people, even when it feels scary. It’s a mix of excitement, nerves, optimism, and Dad imagining every possible worst-case scenario.
This episode is less about having all the answers and more about talking things through, rambling a bit, and figuring it out as we go.
And a special shoutout to Abby, Eloise’s bestest ever friend, who may be changing schools but is still a huge part of this chapter and always will be 💖
Welcome to Season 2, high school edition.
