Like What I Like is dead, long live Mostly Kobolds EXTEND.

We're finally back! Unfortunately after being out of the podcast game for so long, our intrepid duo are a rusty and tend to meander a bit. So if you note any weird slightly janky cuts that don't really fit in with what was being said previously, that's mostly due to me removing the whole getting sidetracked thing. Trust me, it's better this way. But I digress - This week, we talk about Star Trek: The Next Generation. And by that, I mean Season 1 specifically. Before you get out your pitchforks, it's worth knowing that 90% of this episode is just us geeking out and talking about how fantastically crap it is. Spoilers abound, but I mean if you've left this long (like Emma has) then it's sort of on you here. It /is/ a 30-ish year old show, after all. Speaking of its age, Emma mentions that she started watching when it was the 50th anniversary - She meant for Star Trek in general, not TNG specifically. Again folks, we've a bit out of shape vis a vis podcasting.

The world may have temporarily gone into a massive state of shock and panic for He hath come, but never fear, for yet another goofy episode of Like What I Like is finally here, and a day early too!! The friends once again coin flip, this time between the MST3K version of The Pumaman and the Red Dwarf US Pilot. (Content Warning: Food) Halloween in November. It's like Christmas in July, only a lot spookier. The two pals have set up a Trick and a Treat for each other, and decide what they get via a coin flip. This week, Mark inflicts one of two choices onto Lain: The first three Halloween specials of Brooklyn Nine-Nine or the Jem And The Holograms movie. Which will it be?? Also: They eat some really crap Halloween-themed candy. Send help.

How many of these have we done now? Three?? We need to do something about that. Anyway, this week, Lain takes on the "HD" port of Banjo-Kazooie on the Xbox 360 (as emulated on an Xbox One), but in a surprising twist of events, actually sort of likes it! Well, apart from a few glaring issues she had with the game that is. But hey that's just par for the course with these platformer games anyway. T'was the 90's/early 2000's, 3D was new, people were still messing about with it and trying to work out how to make these kinds of games actually good, so it's a bit unfair to be so brutal on them (Sonic Adventure 1&2 still suck though, sorry not sorry). This one went out a bit later than usual due to Lain only getting 3 hours sleep on the day we normally put these things out and as such she was basically half-dead by time she could actually start editing. Feel free to start messaging us shouting at her to start editing episodes earlier than the day they have to be out, please.
