The Lime, from Arabic and French lim, is thought to have originated in Southeast Asia. Arab traders brought Lime trees
back from their journeys to Asia and introduced them into Egypt and northern Africa around the 10th century. Lime later spread across Europe and was taken to North America by Christopher Columbus. This energising fruit has long been loved for his vitamin C content, being used by various militaries to prevent
scurvy. His essential oil, cold-pressed from the peel of the fresh fruit, still finds use today helping us to live healthier lives.
