Morning Sermon: Paradise Gained

Text: Luke 23:32-43

Point: Jesus overcomes every temptation, and by his obedience opens paradise for all who trust in him.

Entrust yourself to the God of justice, and praise the God of justice, even when devastation strikes.

God produces faith and perseverance in us by his word.

Effective ministry depends on boldness in proclaiming the gospel of God, for the glory of God, out of love for the church of God.

Above all else, treasure Christ.

Even when discouragement won’t relent, preach this hope to your heart: God is my salvation, and I will again praise him.

Point: If we want to be a church of exemplary faith, we must rejoice in the gospel--especially in the face of fierce suffering.

Worship the Creator-King who has ascended to his throne in glorious victory.

Give thanks for your election, which is evidenced in the powerful work of the Holy Spirit among you through his message and his messenger.
