  • #109 Pete Rogers – Enneagram III: Finding success in China

At Limitless, we're all about helping you be successful in China faster and this final installment of the Enneagram podcast series will give you strategies for living and working in the typical '6' nation of China. If you've not listened to parts 1 and 2, definitely go back (or part 3 won't make much sense!). There were a lot of 'ah-ha' moments in this podcast for Pete and me so I hope you experience your own! Management consultant, teacher, and personal coach, Pete Rogers, is wildly positive (he's a classic '7' according to the Enneagram...) and was a joy to work with. We sat in my dining room for five awesome hours (my uber-efficient '3' nature needed it done in one fell swoop!) digging into the intricacies of the Enneagram—a transformative personality inventory process. The applications for the Enneagram for individuals and in the workplace are endless, and what I love about this series is Pete shows us how to utilize this tool to be our best (and worst) selves, and gives us strategies to successfully live and work in China (a typical '6' nation). In just the short amount of time I've been learning about the Enneagram, I've been thrilled with how I can use it in my own life and personal relationships to build compassion, acceptance and empathy. I think you'll really enjoy it as well!

  • #106 Raj Sodhi – Redefining successful 21st Century learning at home and in class

Is rote memorization a strategy of the past? It's hard to deny that fun and technology are inextricable elements of 21st century learning, but is there a balance that needs to be attained at home and in the classroom? In this episode, CEO of 7 Senses Labs, Gavenraj Sodhi discusses the rightful place for memorization and his mission to integrate fun and technology into the creative learning process to the benefit of all. Originally from Chicago, Raj has lived in China for the past six years. He loves the innovations that are taking place from Internet of Things to education technologies and he most loves watching the faces of kids as they learn new things all the time. It inspires him to be a champion and change agent in education, bringing happiness back into kids’ minds and sparking the creativity that they begin to lose from kindergarten on. In his interview, Raj shares how each of us as parents, family, and educators can play a greater role to helping our kids restore their happiness in learning and understand that learning happens all the time all around us and not just from memorizing what we learn at school to pass a test.
