Art and identity intersect in complex and dynamic ways. The intersection of art and identity is evident in the way that personal experiences, cultural background, and social identity can shape an artist's perspectives, styles, and choices. Art can serve as a means for self-expression and a platform for exploring and articulating issues related to identity, such as race, gender, sexuality, and class. Conversely, art can also help to construct and reinforce dominant cultural narratives, reinforcing or challenging existing power structures and identities. Join Vicky as she discusses intersectionality between art and identity with aspiring artist Mia Liang.
