Listen in as your host, Hanz Ford, talks with mau5trap artist Dom Kane about his musical journey. Dom is a well established name, with support from the the likes of Dave Seaman, Deadmau5, Orbital, and James Zabiela, and international radio exposure to boot, while his DJ career has seen him hold residencies at the likes of Space Ibiza and Ministry of Sound in London.

As a sound designer, the name Dom Kane has appeared in factory presets for synthesisers including FXpansion (D-CAM & Geist), Xfer (Nerve/Serum), Ohm Force (Ohmicide), Cakewalk (Rapture Pro), and the legendary hardware synth company Moog (Animoog, Little Phatty, Slim Phatty, Sub 37 Tribute).

With such a storied career, there's a lot to be uncovered in this month's episode!

Brandon Caroll aka SWARM is a mid-tempo bass producer living in Jacksonville, Florida. Dark, Heavy and Haunting would best describe his music, each track offering us a chasm of bass routinely accompanied by hints of lighter elements, always smothered by the dark soundscapes. An impressive fact about our guest is his tight and gritty sound has been crafted in the short span of 2 years.

Listen in as your host, Hanz Ford, chats to David Granha a Spanish  producer with more than 15 years of career in the electronic music scene and a prolific discography across labels such as Noir Music, Suara, Katermukke, Sincopat, Selador, Parquet, Einmusika, KMS, Sudbeat, or Microcastle.

In August 2018 he released his second solo EP on Noir Music called “Savala”, supported by the big names such as Adam Beyer, Monika Kruse, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin or Victor Ruiz. He followed this with the excellent "Eucharist" in November, building on a stellar year, which saw his EP Resurrection reach the Techno top 10 with the track “The Gates”, while “Rave Lungs” (on Katermukke) has reached 11 in the Progressive-House genre.

Unashamedly eclectic, David masterfully unfolds between narrative landscapes based on dark and melodic sounds, techno cuts and bases with a deliberate dirt, melodies that give an unmistakable character and a genuine sound full of class and elegance.

Liam Tallon, aka Draft, debuted in 2013 on AEI Media-owned electronic label Pilot. With his bespoke brand of meticulously melodic, bass-heavy electronica, his first EP (Phryday) received wide acclaim and provided him with a platform for further 2 EPs, before he joined deadmau5's famed mau5trap family in 2015.

Tallon has since been included twice on the 'We Are Friends' label compilation and is the only artist to both times curate/produce the full-length promotional mixes. He has released three EP's with mau5trap, each continuing to push the boundaries of his original take on electronica and in 2016 was awarded 'Power User' status by Image-Line, in recognition of his abilities with FL Studio.

28mm is a Techno DJ/ producer living in Brooklyn, New York. Exploring the darker corners of the genre our guest opens an aperture into his world of haunting top lines, driving percussions and darkened textures. Landing several releases on noted labels including Understated Recordings and Versotiq, his latest EP entitled ‘Companion” was released on one of our favourite and first picks for up and coming labels: Emercive.

Being an alumni of the infamous Icon Collective, 28mm is plugged in to all the right channels for a promising career, working as A&R for The Music Development Agency he is also a member of a group of respected and promising producers/ DJ’s called Deep Tech LA whose goal is to start a grassroots movement among the music scene.
