Jennifer Tran is the new principal at Pius X Catholic High School. In this interview, she talks about her journeys of education and faith, which includes her own struggles in school, particularly in the third grade, became the foundation of her calling.

Campus Minister Erinn Maly wanted a bold gesture from someone who desired her heart in marriage. She would very soon get just that. Today she gave a bold and challenging speech to the students and staff at Pius X.

“If this is All real, If the Death and Resurrection of Jesus is real, If the Catholic Church is real, If the Eucharist is real, If the Sacraments are real, If God’s unconditional love for you is real, If the face on this screen is real, Then your entire life must change and it must change now!”

Scotty Sullivan, a 2016 Lincoln Pius X Catholic High School graduate and current campus minister at the school, was the Lenten Service speaker at an all-school gathering.

“The world that we live in needs you guys to step up. The world that we live in needs you guys to be these disciples. And I want you to believe it, and I want you to begin living it.”

Jeremy Ekeler spoke to our students and staff at our weekly Lenten Prayer Service, sharing his story of a broken heart caused by many events in his life. He encouraged students to let Jesus in to their broken hearts, as he learned to do.

Ekeler is a 1997 alumni of Pius X High School, a former teacher and coach at Pius X, a former principal at Cathedral of the Risen Christ School, among many other things. This summer, he will officially become the new Chief Administrative Officer at Pius X.

Sr. Guadalupe DeWispelare is a teacher and mentor at Pius X High School. She shared part of her story with the students and staff, specifically talking about her high school and college experiences. She said she was very good at playing the part of being Catholic, though she struggled with truly letting her guard down and letting God love her.

Tori Roberts, campus minister at Pius X High School, shared stories of friendship and faith with the students and staff as part of our Lenten Series. Her biggest spiritual influences as a young adult are still her great friends today. She reminds us that we need good people around us to bring us closer to God through our conversations and connections.
