In this episode, I’m joined by Dan Chow to talk about consulting. Dan spent 28 years working in management, strategy, and technology consulting, though he now works for the Kellogg School of Management helping to design and lead the executive education program there. We chat about his path through the industry, the pros and cons of business school, and why he decided to take time off to go to culinary school.

In this episode, I sat down with Illinois Representative Ann Williams, who is currently serving her fifth (soon to be sixth!) term as State Representative of the 11th District on Chicago’s North Side. We chat about her path from law school through nearly every role possible in the world of state government in Illinois. Talk about an expert! We also discuss some of her current priorities in the General Assembly, including spearheading the Clean Energy Jobs Act, and touch on some of the many ways to get involved in government and politics, no matter what you're passionate about.

In the inaugural episode of Line of Work, I am joined by Dr. Alexandra Solomon to talk about her work as a licensed clinical psychologist and professor at Northwestern University. She’s also the author of two books, Loving Bravely and Taking Sexy Back, and teaches an internationally renowned course called “Marriage 101: Building Loving and Lasting Relationships” at Northwestern. We chat about her path through academia and into practice, teaching, and balancing family and career.
