What does it mean to serve? And how do we do so with joy?

Lionel Wallace, this week’s Gospel Entrepreneur, shows Roy that the way through uncertainty, is submission to God’s plan – perfection isn’t needed, only obedience, and reliance on Him.

Born and raised in St Albans, he gave his life to Christ by the age of 11, and shortly after, Lionel began trying his hand at a number of activities, from a building company to selling sweets, to starting his own barbershop, and ultimately, as an engineer dealing in the certification of planes

An entrepreneur through and through – now serving as the high sheriff of Hertfordshire – one of the longest sovereign appointments in English history.

His heart for service is evident, from time spent in his parent’s church to a season serving in an Italian one, Lionel’s lion heart serves as an example for Gospel entrepreneurs everywhere.

Reminding us that sometimes, God’s favour is on the other side of faithful service.
