Today our guest is Yida Gao, founder of Shima Capital. Shima Capital is an early stage VC firm investing in disruptive crypto and Web3 companies. The fund has a strong roster of backers including Dragonfly Capital, Digital Currency Group, Bill Ackman and other strategic investors. Prior to Shima, Yida was a technology investor at New Enterprise Associates and an M&A banker at Morgan Stanley. Yida also teaches Crypto Finance every spring semester at MIT. He graduated from MIT with a degree in Math and CS, attended Stanford GSB before dropping out, and was recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30.
