Wake up. Work. Go home. Sleep. Repeat. Sound familiar? In a lonely, busy world, constantly trying to pull us apart, community matters now more than ever. We all want it. We all have some idea of what we wish it looked like, but rarely can we grasp it. Maybe we weren’t meant to experience life as alone as we’ve been living it - perhaps even God Himself hates the phrase “God is all I need.” Together, we’re walking through the truth that is only rejecting what the world says and embracing what God says about doing life with one another can make us whole and healed. It’s not good to be alone, and we don’t have to be.

The word prayer conjures up lots of different images. How should we pray? Should we petition God on our behalf? Should we ask for forgiveness all the time? How does prayer work, and possibly more important to many of us, does prayer even work? Prayer works, but not like many of us have been led to believe. When we don’t understand prayer, it not only sets us up for disappointment, it holds us back from deeper intimacy with the one who we’re praying to in the first place. Praying the way Jesus taught us to changes our hearts, and that changes everything.

The Bible isn’t just the most widely-distributed and best- selling book of all time; it’s on our minds the most as well. More than half of all American adults wish they read the Bible more often. Why? Bible-ownership is strong, but bible-readership is weak. The translations, the history, the language, the context, it’s hard, we get it. But, despite all of this, it’s more important than ever that we learn how to study the Bible because it doesn’t just teach us about God - it draws us closer to Him - it changes us. You can trust the Bible, and you can genuinely grow by studying it - once you know how.

Most of us have had some experience with worshiping God through music, but worship is more than singing, more than just lyrics to a song. Worship is standing in the presence of God and declaring praises to His name by making Him the center of our life. Sometimes our idea of worship becomes distorted, and the object of our worship is no longer God. What is it that you worship? Is Jesus the center of it? Journey with us as we turn to the Bible to discover what it truly means to worship God.
