Thoughts from the Mound Jeff A. Jenkins
Dale looked up to his brother Jeff A. Jenkins. The Jenkins Institute webinars (Freed-Hardeman University) was started. A blog Thoughts from the Mound was also started. Personal ministries could be the way to oneâs eternal salvation.
Lots of real life sad stories followed by biblical scriptures & prayers. Some however turn out with a happy ending by the individual(s) finding Godâs word can make them stronger or a better person. Another example is reaching out to others who might not believe.
1st & foremost I will die a Texas Longhorn & Dallas Cowboys fan. I watched the greatest FB stars (legends, hall-of-famers) free of charge in 1967-1968 when I was in H.S. ROTC. Our job as a cadet was to seat the fans. I also played tri-sports. What more could a teen ask for.
Awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written delightful could be true-to-life stories followed up by biblical scriptures/prayers book. It was very easy to read/follow & never a dull moment from start/finish. No grammar errors, repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of unique exciting scenarios & a great set of characters. This type of book is not something I normally read. That said for someone unknown reason I got an enormous amount of fulfillment reading this book. No doubt in my mind a very easy rating of 5 stars for this biblical book.
Thank you for the free book

Reflections of a Minister on Life
This book is loaded with Scriptural references, and it ends with a prayer for each topic.
It would be a helpful book for a daily morning devotional, or a once-a-week study since it has 52 sections.
It is geared often toward preachers as the author is a minister who speaks about his role as a minister. He often speaks directly to ministers in his writings. If you are a minister and want encouragement, this book would be helpful.
He also speaks at times to members of the church and gives practical ideas of how to live the Christian life.
The book is from a series of blog posts, and the author often has the date the post was originally posted. He also has some posts which are not dated. The posts are not in any particular order, date or otherwise, that I can tell.
There are some references that you might not understand if you are not a member of the churches of Christ. For example, he speaks of going to a workshop by name that you might not be familiar. That would not take away from the reading of the book.
I recommend this book for an in-depth study of many different topics the Bible teaches.
Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
