Whether you are moving house or on holiday, this guide will help you. As each town and village is explored the following are noted and telephone number given where appropriate: rail station, post office, shops in or near, bus, road status, festivals, parks, hospitality, ramblers associations, and industry. Lots of fun details often inserted usefully.

As someone who has never been to England but has read much fiction and cosy mysteries located in the Cotswolds, I totally loved this guide and wish that something similar was available for areas where I live.

Sangita Chauhan has just the right delivery for her narration.

Whether you are looking to move house, visit for a time, or get another view of towns noted in romance novels or cosy mysteries, this is a great resource. If you are interested in properties that are amenable to young families this will help you to zero in on the town for you, and if you are looking for a more rural area or at least not subject to the noise of a busy roadway there is help for you, too. There is notation of accommodations, shops, pubs, and more, including strategic telephone numbers. Indications of the type of houses, availability, and more make this the guide to listen to while looking at your map.

Sangita Chauhan has a well modulated voice which reflects her interest as well as her ability to narrate.

It is historic, with plenty of Oliver Cromwell and Royalist connections. There are some thriving county towns: Aylesbury, High Wycombe, and Milton Keynes. It is also conveniently close to London. The Grand Union Canal cuts right down from north to south and there are several sailing clubs.

Another fine guidebook from Cy Publications. In this one, the towns are arranged alphabetically, there are a larger number of pertinent phone numbers, and it seems that there are more historical sites. All are presented logically and do seem appropriate for someone moving house or perhaps an extended stay in the area. That's not to say that it has little value for readers of novels, cosy mysteries, or history geeks, because it is simply valuable in a different way.

Sangita Chauhan narrates this one as well, and is exceptional!
