Forget those cute and cuddly puppies, kittens, and Koala bears - its time to learn about vomit munchers, blood slurpers, slime makers, and dookie lovers. The world is filled with gross animals, and these are the very grossest. Houseflies: When they land on your food, they immediately puke their guts out. Leeches: Once they hook onto your skin, they begin greedily sucking your blood. Slugs: If you pick one up, your hand will be covered with a mucus-like ooze. Lice: They make a home out of your hair and then start laying eggs. Sea cucumbers: Gooey blobs with tentacles that some people actually eat. Tapeworms: Once inside your intestines, they can grow up to 60 feet long!
With bluntly honest language and lighthearted humor, best-selling author Sylvia Branzei vividly describes these and many, many other disgusting animals.

He loved it! Besides providing information on different "grossology" topics
This was purchased for my grandson as a surprise. He loved it! Besides providing information on different "grossology" topics, the book provides recipes for interesting things such as fake blood and edible dog poo. As a 9 year old boy, life doesn't get much better than pranking one's family with edible dog poo!!! While we only tried one of the recipes, the results of the dog poo was tasty and looked similar to its name. The book is an easy read for 7 year olds or older. The areas in the book hold kids' interest and provide interesting examples.
disgusting, dangerous
My 7 year old LOVES to read anything and everything with interesting facts! He has read all the "scariest, disgusting, dangerous, amazing" books so I was so happy to find something else along those lines... He has read this one cover to cover multiple time and come on, who doesn't love grossology! ;)
Sure makes a good read and great gift for young men
Son (age 16), and grandsons have been thoroughly enjoying reading through this book. Even though our daughter and granddaughters might not want to admit it - we've seen them laughing and reading through the book, too! Sure makes a good read and great gift for young men, or possibly men of any age!! We were pleased with the service we received and have been quite happy with the book(s).
I like that it gets my girls thinking about FUN scientific things
My daughters love these Grossology books! They are gross and interesting and have fun experiments to try. I like that it gets them away from the dolls and gets them thinking about more FUN scientific things.
Absolutely disgusting way to get kids to enjoy reading and laughing
Absolutely disgusting way to get kids to enjoy reading and laughing. The brain needs both for learning about everyday words giggled about every where. Facts tell the real story and illustrations are
hilarious too. Inappropriately appropriate for "nothing good to read, Mom!"
