Tells us to live a drug-free life.
This book inspires all the reader like me. Drugs will only give us health problems. It will not make things better if we try taking prohibited drugs. I believe this book will help my uncle, who is a drug addict, to recover. I love the quotes that the author included because it tells us to live a drug-free life and meaningful life, The book is short but full of knowledge.
Chapter 4 really gets into the meat of how to deal with drug recovery and is useful for those wishing to help family or friends
This book is all about facts. Chapter 1 covers the most commonly used drugs, chapters 2 and 3 cover all the different categories of costs of drug addiction. Chapter 4 really gets into the meat of how to deal with drug recovery and is useful for those wishing to help family or friends. In my opinion, this is the most useful and practical part of the book, and really distils the steps of recovering into its essence without the fluff.
Great book to help overcome substance abuse
One of the more clear and usable books I've ever read on drug addiction and how to overcome it. I really appreciate the author's expertise in this area and I know that these tips are going to help me when I stage an intervention for a friend who is suffering from a crippling addiction to drugs. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about curing drug addiction.
Good book
I've got some friends that I've been worried about so I decided to start doing some research on drugs and drug addiction. I want to be able to help them but I also want to make sure I understand the issues there having. This book was a short but very educational read. It covered the types of drugs and addiction that people experience and advice on how to break these habits.

Everything about this book from descriptions of various drugs, all the way through recovery and maintaining a healthy lifestyle was amazing, but I think the author did an extremely good job of explaining the not so obvious "costs" of addiction. Highly recommended for addicts and their families.
