Laura J. Marshall is a victim of assault. The attack left her with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, affecting her life with fear. She has written about her experience in a short daily devotional that uses Bible verses and recounts her own experience, to instill faith in others.

"A Mom's Battle Cry to Overcome Fear" is short. If read daily, it takes a week. If read all at once, it takes a few hours. It doesn't go into great detail, but it does quote relevant Bible verses on the topic of fear. It reassures the reader that just like Job, Moses and other great Biblical characters, one can face what they are afraid of by relying on faith.

The book also reinforces a belief in the Holy Spirit, of a still small voice that speaks to us to protect us from harm, to lead us to the right answer, to calm our fears in time of trouble. I have heard this still small voice myself, and know that this part of the story is very true.

This book isn't a magic cure-all for fear, but it is a good, quick read that will assure the reader that they are not alone in whatever challenge they face.

A Must Read! I couldn't put it down~Written From the Heart

I finished this book in one sitting as I couldn't put it down. I read it on my Kindle and I had a notebook next to me that has pages of notes from this book! It is amazing how the author expressed herself. I have highly recommended this book and will continue to do so. It really touched my heart as I could relate to the author on so many levels. She really made the path to overcoming fear possible. She has such a way with words.

I have so many quotes that I wrote down but this one is my favorite, "We must get to a point in our own walk where we love the Lord more than our own lives." Then she ends the book with this amazing prayer. This book is by far one of the best I have read that has helped me in my own personal life. I am sure it will help many others as well. I will definitely be looking for others by this author as well.

This is a very personal account of how one woman refused to allow evil to rule her world. This author offers proof that with faith and self pride, one can take control of their lives and be in charge of their destiny. A must read.

Powerful Testimony of Deliverance

This is a powerful testimony of how God stepped in and set the author free from crippling fear. I was especially struck by her remark about giving the devil a foothold that can become a stronghold. Full of faith-building truth, this book includes Scriptures for study and personal prayers that will bring great encouragement to the reader. I was blessed in reading it.

Sounds like it was recorded on a tape recorder in his office. You could hear planes flying over, his chair squeaking, dogs barking, and it sounded like he was in a tunnel. Chapter 3 started off and the phone rang, then the story stopped for about 5 to 10 seconds. He then started chapter 3 all over again. To put it out there and charge people for an audio book it was very poorly recorded. Like I said it would probably be a good read but the Audio book left a lot to be desired.

I love this book... but hate the way it reads.

The content is somewhat cluttered and disorganized.

This book is great for someone studying the principles of Self.

I don't like the "New Age" pseudo Mysticism that is often times published these days.

This book will not go into the "New Age" terms since it was published way before the "Movement".
