Learn where the Red Dragon of Wales lives today, why a Welsh pirate, who dressed like a dandy, was the most feared in the world, how the drovers travelled the land and created their own banking system, and how King Arthur destroyed the evil monster they called the Barfog. Discover the Lost Land of Wales, the Salt Smugglers of Mawddach, and the secret of the Robber's Grave.
As you listen to the legends you will be dipping into a rich Celtic culture of stories that have been told and retold over hundreds of years, keeping listeners entertained on dark winter nights when the warmth of a log fire and the flicker of flames made anything possible.

Since I loved the first one so much, I was excited to read this one
This is the second Legends and Myths from Wales book that Iâve read by Graham Watkins. Since I loved the first one so much, I was excited to read this one, and it did not disappoint.
I enjoyed the writing style of this book, and itâs easy to get lost in these stories. In fact I picked it up as a little bedtime reading, and I couldnât put it down until I finished.
One of my favorites in this particular installment was the Robberâs Grave, the story of John Davies. This would be a landmark Iâd like to see should I ever be in the area. I also loved Melangell and the Hare and would love to visit the church named in her honor.
If you enjoy myths and legends, or even want to learn about how some of Wales famous landmarks got their name, this is a great book to read.
I love getting lost in the fantastic worlds of fantasy
I love getting lost in the fantastic worlds of fantasy, legends and myths; and Legends and Myths from Wales has fulfilled that passion perfectly.
In a mix of love and heroic stories where the combination of kings, pirates, greed, humor and fables are perfectly combined to create a wonderful experience for the reader.
I particularly enjoyed The Devilâs Bridge the most, where Marged shows The Devil a valuable lesson to never see him return again.
Beautifully written, this books deserves praise and gratitude from me.
A pleasure to read.
This is a great little book to get lost in. Each of the short stories in the book are well written and a pleasure to read. I wish I could put into words how much I enjoyed this book. My favourite story is Melangell and the Hare. Itâs beautiful.
