L'auteur

Né au Liban en 1883,

, écrivain et artiste peintre, immigre à l'âge de douze ans aux U.S.A. Deux ans plus tard il revient à Beyrouth afin d'y poursuivre son éducation à "l'école de la sagesse".

En 1901, cet adolescent, timide et solitaire, entreprend plusieurs voyages en Europe avant de s'installer à Paris. En 1908 il s'inscrit en arts visuels à l'académie Julian.

C'est en 1911 qu'il revient s'installer définitivement à New-York.

Au cours de sa courte existence, Gibran consacre sa vie à la création. Il peint le jour et écrit la nuit.

Ce philosophe a écrit plus de dix oeuvres importantes tant en arabe qu'en anglais.

Poète de la sagesse, Khalil Gibran meurt en 1931 à l'âge de quarante-huit ans. Sa dépouille mortelle fut ramenée au Liban où elle repose dans la crypte du monastère de Mar Sarkis.

Though it doesn't seem he will make it to the final round, Bernie has sure made an uproar during the race. I am american, but I travel a lot and don't get to stay as informed as i would like about the candidates. I am very thankful that authors such as John Payne, take the time to write a well written, informative book to help learn more without having to wade through the media garbage that is twisted and untrue. I certainly learned more about Bernie than I anticipated I would.

Here it is: Sanders' platform and plans for how to finance changes. Plus a bio. Well done!

No hype here; just the facts -- but written in a way that holds one's interest. Excellent quick read for anyone who wants to understand Sanders' views and what he wants to accomplish. No other candidate is able (or willing) to disclose their platform, including exactly how they would go about paying for their changes. This author gives an excellent, very detailed account of exactly what Sanders would do, how people would be affected, and where the financial support would come from. The first part of the book gives a good biographical history of Sanders. Reading this, one can see why Sanders has such compassion for people and humanity in general.

Surely you will vote wisely after you read this book.

I have followed the campaign of Bernie Sanders with great enthusiasm. He is a respected politician and knows what really matters to most people. Heath Care, Jobs and a decent and fair living wage.

USA and all the world need to restore confidence in politicians, and above all restore democracy, and i think that litle bird knows now that Bernie Sanders seems to be the ideal person to do it all in the United States.

This book makes some very good points on why Bernie Sanders is a very strong candidate for the head of state. The writer takes the time to educate you on what Sanders stands for and how this may very well strengthen America for years to come. Definitely a good read.
