A GREAT NEW BOOK FOR ENGLISH LEARNERS
This is a wonderful little book. It has a series of funny and clever mystery stories based on grammatical miscues, which lead to funny misunderstandings on the part of a character. In the solutions to the mysteries, the miscues are quickly explained and cleared up, and there is a follow-up chart of the grammatical reason for the correct language.
The charts will be used by English learners when they are studying the grammar of the language. Teachers will probably use these charts more than the students, but the students will learn correct usage just by reading the stories and the solutions. The stories are made more enticing by the use of photos, playful names and characters. I think that this book is a winner!
A great activity for ESL students!
Whodun Did It? is a series of grammar and pronunciation lessons for ESL students in mystery form. Each chapter presents a common grammatical confusion for English learners in mystery form, appropriate for low intermediate learners. Vocabulary and teaching points are presented in easy-to-understand charts and explanations at the end of the chapter.
Entertaining and creative stories. A great supplement to a grammar or writing class for ESL learners!
