Sometimes the simplest words can be the most powerful- they can push us through our most difficult times. In this episode we are going to hear two stories about the words we carry with us and the ones that shape who we are and how we navigate our world.

This episode features two stories that were recorded live, one in Chicago from performer Zahradka Tonic and another in NYC from Maggie McMuffin.

In this episode we are going to talk about how we got started. I think this is the question that I get asked the most! How did I end up here? We will here from two performers with two very different origin stories.

We’ve all heard the old cliché a million times: “You really can’t judge a book by its cover.” We say it when a movie surprises us, or when a cheap restaurant turns out to have the best food in town. But it hits entirely differently when the "book" you’re judging is a human being. And, as strippers it’s something we experience first hand on a regular basis. “Wow, you’re actually smart!” “you’re too good to be working in a place like this” “How did YOU end up here?” 

Today, we are sharing two stories that pull back the curtain on what happens when you let go of your assumptions and actually look at the person standing in front of you.

First, we’ll hear from Valerie Stunning, and later, Laura Desiree. Both of them had clients who didn't just challenge their expectations, but completely forced them to re-examine their own way of looking at people and the world around them.

 As $trippers, we often have some very unusual customers, in this episode we hear some stories about their favorite surprising customer interactions. Kate Cloud and Artina Darkly, who shared some of our favorites!
