Romeo and Juliet captures all of the romance, passion, drama and conflict of deep and magical love and our classical composers have given us some gorgeous representations of this beautiful story.

In Season 1 we explored music that makes us want to dance.  The Risingholme Orchestra of Christchurch is playing three pieces that are about dance too but, are different, Instead of music we could almost dance TO it is music we can WATCH others dance.  In other words music from original ballets. In previous "Listen to this!" episodes we highlighted the performance of the Nelson Symphony and their concert called "Travel Plans".  Even though its musical program is also about different places, the Christchurch Youth Orchestra’s concert is less about the cultural aspects of a different country and more about the visceral FEELING of the geography of a different land.
