Title: The Biblical Textbook of Salvation
    Author: Edward T. Pooler
    Narrator: Bradley D. Barnes, MBA
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 12 hrs and 6 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 10-02-17
Publisher: Revival Waves of Glory Books & Publishing
    Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Bibles
    Publisher's Summary:
The advantage of this book is that you can learn how to achieve salvation.
The Bible has 1,200 pages, which are all very useful, but some of the Christian Testament consists of history while most of the Jewish Testament consists of history.
Many pieces of the most important information are repeated several times in the Bible, but this book presents each piece of information just once or twice so that less listening is needed to learn the narrow path toward salvation.
Thus, you can learn what you need to know with less time.
This book is for Christians, Jews, and everyone else!
I know that the Bible can be difficult to believe, but the Bible contains prophesies which can help the Bible prove itself to be true.
Some of the prophecies have come true, some are coming true now, and the future prophesies will come true.
Many people have had near-death experiences, some good and some bad! The after-life is forever so we all need to be pretty darn sure before we disregard biblical information because once you die, that's it!
    Members Reviews:
Book is not perfect but it is closer to the original teachings of the original Bible.
It is a good representation of what Jesus himself taught while He was here during the 1st century. The original Judeo-Christianity is the most accurate, and this book is an attempt to present this original Faith. It does not have ALL the info which an actual Bible presents but it does basically have enough, especially if it leads you to an actual Bible such as the KJV, Aramaic, or the Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible.
Any decent Bible with these 1st-century revisions would definitely be more accurate by 25% or maybe as much as 80-90% thanks to help from the Lord and 1st-century information.

    Not just for Dads
What made the experience of listening to 25 Essential Bible Verses for Dads the most enjoyable?
The author Ivan Thompson, accomplished and honored in multiple fields, shares his experiences as a father, gives insights and challenges of being a parent. Because fatherhood is such a difficult assignment, the author includes many verses of encouragement from the Bible on the topics he covered, such as forgiveness, encouraging your own children as well as the fatherless ones, Gods love, leadership, many others. Acknowledging that men dont often read parenting books, he recommends two: Dobsons The Strong Willed Chid, and The Five Love Language of Children by Gary Chapman. He bought Chapmans book to try to help him relate better to his two younger children, and was pleasantly surprised that the insights he gained improved his relationship with his three grown children as well. The book also helped him understand past hurts he suffered in childhood with his own father.
What did you like best about this story?
The personal sharing and related Bible verses
What does Steven A. Gannett and Steven A. Gannett bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
The audio version is narrated by Steven A. Gannett. His voice is easy on the ears, soothing, well-paced and easy to understand. I might have preferred the omission of saying the words quote and unquote before and after the Bible verses, but this is minor and merely a personal preference (and perhaps something he was instructed to do by Audible). The Audible version only takes an hour and 51 minutes and is time well spent for any father desiring helps, parenting suggestions spiritual encouragement.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The advice and encouragement to deal with deep wounds from the past
    Any additional comments?
After each topic discussed is a section titled For Reflection in which Thompson offers questions for thought and self evaluation. The author explains that fathering effectively is difficult, Gods help is needed and required. The many verses included provide wisdom, examples, and encouragement.

    Zusammenfassung des Herausgebers:
Many interpretive models of the controversial passage of Genesis 9, presume that the focus is on something shameful done by Ham, one of Noah's sons. He performed an act so embarrassing toward himself and his clan, that it is not even disclosed in the actual text. It is hidden in plain sight, presenting a sort of subtext which qualified, academic theologians tell us they can decipher. Often, these models, while they present interesting arguments on behalf of the view that Genesis chapter 9, verses 20 to 27, relates to a horribly shameful act by Ham, perhaps something even incestuous, overlooks an apparent emphasis within the text upon Noah's acts.

    Length: 35 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 04-03-17
    Publisher: Logos Bible Study
    Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Bibles
    Publisher's Summary:
As we may read Psalm 23 as Davids epitaph: and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever; so may we read Ecclesiastes as Solomons epitaph: Meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless. Ecclesiastes offers a grim summary of all Solomon learned in his long and storied life. In 1 Kings 4: 32, we read that Solomons songs numbered a thousand and five: The Song of Songs is #1 on the Hit Parade. A frankly erotic love poem, the Song of Songs speaks of fiery romantic love and crushing loss. As an allegory, it may also speak of Gods love for Israel and of Christs love for the Church.
    Editorial Reviews:
Dr. Bill Creasy of Logos Bible Study uses a literary, historical approach to examine and enliven the bible for modern listeners. Dr. Creasy draws on his studies, travels, and personal anecdotes to vividly depict the works of scripture. He speaks in a pleasant, friendly voice but with authority, frequently incorporating contemporary references. The programs are a lively combination of a sermon and college lecture.
In this episode, Dr. Creasy discusses Inside the Heart of Solomon Pt. 2 (Ecclesiastes, Song Of Songs).

    Publisher's Summary:
As the Davidic psalms take us inside the heart of David, so do Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs take us inside the heart of Solomon. In 1 Kings 4: 32 we read that Solomon spoke three thousand proverbs. In the book of Proverbs we have 375 of them. In the classical genre of advice to a son literature, Proverbs offers sound advice for a young person going out into the world for the first time. Much of that advice falls into three categories: 1) choose your friends carefully; 2) manage your finances carefully; and 3) dont get involved with someone elses wife!

Sennarcherib, king of Assyria (705-681 B.C.), attacks Jerusalem in 701 B.C., while Hezekiah is king (715-686 B.C.) and Isaiah is prophet (740-686 B.C.). Working together, Hezekiah and Isaiah implore the Lord to save Jerusalem and Judah. And he does. God vows that [Sennarcherib] will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here (2 Kings 19: 32). That night the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morningthere were all the dead bodies! So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh [capital of the Assyrian Empire] and stayed there (2 Kings 19: 35-36). With its defeat at Jerusalem in 701 B.C. Assyria weakens; to its south, Babylon (southern Iraq of today) rises. In 625 B.C. the Babylonians assert their independence from Assyria, attacking and destroying its capital, Nineveh, in 612 B.C. (the subject of the prophet Nahum). Nebuchadnezzar, Crown Prince of Babylon defeats Necho II king of Egypt in 605 B.C. at the Battle of Carchemish. Then he attacks Jerusalem. The Jews surrender in 605 B.C., becoming a vassal state to the Babylonian Empire and captives are taken to Babylon, including the prophet Daniel. The Babylonians attack again in 597 B.C. and more captives are taken, including the prophet Ezekiel. The last king of Judah, Zedekiah (597-586 B.C.)a vassal king to Nebuchadnezzar, betrays him, and Nebuchadnezzar launches a full-scale siege against Jerusalem in 588 B.C. The city falls on August 14, 586 B.C. Zedekiah is taken captive, the city and the temple are burnt, and the survivors are taken captive to Babylon. The prophet Jeremiah (626-586 B.C.) records his eyewitness account of the events in the Book of Jeremiah and the Book of Lamentations.
