Not what I expected...

This is erotica, not romance. It's the equivalent of ear pornography. Not that there's anything wrong with that, if you're prepared for it. But I downloaded this book based on the review above. I was expecting a ROMANCE between two guys. What I got was hot sex (with some cheesy dialogue thrown in). Just know what you're getting into.

simply yummy

It's a erotic book with a little something more. If your into yaoi you'll like the writing style and the narrator's voice is really good. I enjoyed this audio book

Decent story Bad Narration

The story was interesting. Young boy down on his luck longs to be a Food Network star. Meets a Navy officer falls for him. The narrator kinda made me roll my eyes most of the time. He was very robotic sounding and the voice he used for the Navy officer sounded more like drunk frat boy trying to pick up girls. And when he didn't sound robotic or drunk frat boyish he sounded like a commercial voiceover actor. Seems like this was his first audiobook gig and should have practiced the material before recording it. As for the story, one element I am not rally a fan of is the humiliation kind of erotica. Calling the submissive guy "bi*ch, and slut" during the sex parts.

Hmmmm....

Not really sure what I was expecting here, but this is pretty explicit stuff! The main character (Chance) is very likable. As for the rest...

Just be certain that you realize what you are about to read here and you won't be caught by surprise like I was.

Not the best...

All I can say is that 'The Best of American Erotica' has come along way since 2002. I'm a fan of the books in general, which is why I decided to purchase this, however didn't find it as erotic as the later versions. In fact, I found very little erotic in this edition.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Walking and Listening is Good for the Soul

I walk after dinner most nights.. I love to listen to stories that will keep me going .... DUH a hot story will always do that :)

It's ok for a little titilation but no more than that. I haven't really listen to this genre before but it was slightly weird at times even for someone who considers themselves open minded.

Not all that I expected

I downloaded this as a sample of the Alphabet series. While the story was very well done, I was a bit disappointed that it was told from the "male" perspective - straight to the sex, not a lot of foreplay in the story. I'm not sure now if I want to listen to the rest of the stories.

Best of the offerings

I liked this. The reading voices are authentic and the text good. This is the best of the audible offerings of erotica. If you are looking for something to cater t your prurient side, this one is good.
