Preachy and simplistic

I was very disappointed. There's seldom an audiobook that I can't get through. It might have been more helpful if the authors hadn't narrated it themselves, though I would have thought they might have read their own words with more feeling than a narrator. Just too much like being read a personal log of experiences and beliefs. The "real world" seemed to me more of a throw-back to the 1950's but perhaps because I did not understand that this was Christian handbook. No problem with that itself--I often listen to inspiring and motivation Christian material--but based on the book description, I was looking for a broader perspective. Nothing new or useful for me unfortunately.

Spotless

I had heard Shannon Lush on radio 3AW on afternoons and was very impressed with her knowledge and solutions to staining and other cleaning problems. Therefore purchased her book Spotless which is just fantastic and already has solved some of my household problems. Recommend to anyone of any age or gender.

A great find for an American DIY'er!

I love the simple and effective stain & cleaning remedies found throughout this entire book! If you have HuluPlus, you should totally check out Shannon Lush's show... There are only a few episodes, but I was instantly hooked! So many simply remedies for so many typical household cleaning/organizing issues. A must buy & a must watch for anyone who enjoys a home cleaned with simple remedies.

Not as helpful as I had hoped. Can't find all the hints in it she talks about in her show. Not as good as her demonstrations. I still find some stuff in it.

This book is full of helpful hints as I had hoped it would be. I have thrown away all my commercial cleaning products & now have a healthier house.

Very enjoyable book

I have followed Shannon Lush on "Lush House" Australian TV program on Hulu.com this winter, and was writing all kinds of notes to myself. This book consolidates the details about cleaning and repairing the appearance of many items in my home and office. My used copy of the book came in protective packaging and almost looked new. Very pleased to enjoy it myself and share it with friends. Thank you!
