Hey New Orleans! As the Crescent City gears up to go back to school the Listening Post team decided to chat with students about how they get to school everyday. While education is a huge topic of choice for families in NOLA, we wanted to examine a vital element (transportation). Join us as we chat with family and friends and get to know how one's route to school affects them and their family.

The Listening Post is always here to bring you something new. For July, we decided to explore a health crisis that has swept across the nation and found a home in our city. As the concern for healthcare coverage grows, our worry about people who will be affected follows. Join us as we dive into the opioid health crisis and take a look at its many perspectives.

This month, the Listening Post tuned into a more critical aspect of the way of life in New Orleans. While safety is deemed to be a priority by New Orleanians, we used this episode to analyze how our law enforcement and community could work together.

The recent closing of the Ooh Poo Pah Doo bar on Orleans avenue got the LP team talking about how communities could develop without displacing black residents and black businesses. The results were interesting and community members let their voice be heard.

This month, we revisited the topic of development projects in New Orleans by specifically looking at the industrial canal project by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Community members express their concerns while Army Corps representatives expressed their plan. Check out our latest!

For the Listening Post, March was all about understanding the relationship our city (New Orleans) has with our state. The results were unclear this time, but we were able to come to the consensus that people are tired of talking about politics.
