Continuing our coverage on the new action-thriller Unchained, we speak with the star of the film herself, the remarkably multi-talented Mair Mulroney.

Even if Mair wasn't an incredible award-winning actress, she would still be known for being a composer, musician, model, writer, singer, songwriter, and just about anything else that there is to excel at.

Mair shared her experience filming with us while weighing in on some of her co-stars' spectacular performances and their behind-the-scenes techniques. We spoke about how music can translate to script-reading and assist with acting, which her co-star Larry L. Andrews initially brought up.

Mair made the music for Unchained's credits as well, so we made sure to pick her instrumental brain and ask about which came first: the singer or the actress. She tells us about her particular blend of talents and how it helps her to get commercial work in which she can be present on the screen and provide a jingle.

WWE/NXT professional wrestler Franky Monet (formally known as Taya Valkyrie) stopped by the show to chat with us about the upcoming film she stars in, Unchained.

We dig into her character in the movie, the filming and fight choreography, and her chemistry with her castmates. Luckily, we were able to line up wrestling savant Travis Henderson to co-host and ask some of the good stuff that wrestling fans will be excited to hear.

Spencer Grammer is in the house! The actress and voice performer behind Rick & Morty's Summer Smith stops by the show to talk about the character now that she's voiced her for a decade!

We dig deep into Summer's character arc and how a mixture of her own personality and the writing helped lend to that growth. Discussing which characters she'd like to see re-visit the show, we shared plenty of laughs about Bucket Head, Snowball, Summer's ex, and more.

The guys tuned in all the way from Hong Kong to chat about their new film Undercover Punch & Gun. Both actors star in the film and Phillip also served as the producer and action choreographer.

We learn about the anime influence on the composition from Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, as well as which '80s and '90s martial arts films the team worked to pay homage to.

I had the incredible opportunity to speak with the team responsible for The Paper Tigers, an amazing martial arts film that blends comedy and action to deliver an experience worthy of a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.

 

The director, Bao Tran, the producer, Al'n Duong, and the action choreographer, Ken Quitugua, all chatted with me about their experience putting the film together, the combination of martial arts that are involved, and the process it took to put together such a revered film.

This episode features the wonderful Greek director Raphaello, who is gearing up for his feature film directorial debut release, Unchained, in less than a month!

Unchained features wrestling star Taya Valkyrie and Academy Award Nominee Eric Roberts (Best of the Best, The Expendables), and the synopsis reads as follows:

"To Rise, You Must Be Willing to Fall. Full-tilt action thriller Unchained opens up the world of underground fighting this summer.

In addition to providing the directing on Unchained, it was also co-written by Raphaello. We talk all about the film's score, the inspiration from Max Payne's bullet-time slow-mo for the fight scenes, and even touched on his other upcoming feature, The Year of Laughing Dangerously, and how the two films vastly contrast.

Raphaello dives into his love for pro-wrestling, and we discuss why the medium should be given more attention, especially by those enamored by comic books and superheroes. We learned about his time in theater and why he has chosen to pursue film as a story-telling medium, and we had hella fun.

The multi-talented Ashleigh Ball joins us to promote her new movie Rock Dog 2: Rock Around the Park, which releases this week, and sees her voice the character of Darma.

The singer/songwriter talked to us a bit about her own music career and how her time with Hey Ocean and meeting with Gene Simmons for a record deal paralleled the plot of Rock Dog 2. 

We also talk about how the musician provides both the voices and the singing for her My Little Pony characters Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash and various other voice acting roles she has performed prior to this.
