Love is a mysterious thing,

taking on many shapes and sizes.

It rolls and breaks upon life's shores.

Sometimes carving beautifully at our hearts.

Other times tearing, leaving barren wind beaten cliffs.

Into it we plunge, oftentimes without taking time to recognize the dangers.

We are swept away and caught in a most powerful undertow.

Swept away, perhaps never to return.

Some are left washed upon the beach

broken and lost,

Others catch the wave

sailing forth with new zest to higher and higher heights,

Others hover afraid perhaps wounded by near misses.

Others simply plunge

beneath the wave.

Today, the Sun is shinin' and it is Autumn for sure.
