When the priests and Levites had purified themselves ceremonially, they purified the people, the gates and the wall.Nehemiah 12:30

The rest of the people … join their fellow Israelites … and bind themselves with a curse and an oath to follow the Law of God given through Moses the servant of God and to obey carefully all the commands, regulations and decrees of the Lord our Lord.Nehemiah 10:29

Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.Nehemiah 8:9

Meanwhile, the people in Judah said “The strength of the labourers is giving out and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.”Nehemiah 4:10

For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.Ezra 7:10

So the elders of the Jews continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah, a descendant of Iddo. They finished building the temple according to the command of the God of Israel and the decrees of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes, kings of Persia.Ezra 6:14

Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building.Ezra 4:4
