As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in Atlanta Georgia, I struggled a lot with perfectionism and there were many times I was so discouraged that all I could do was sit on my bed and cry. But I learned some important lessons from this experience that have changed my life. I hope y’all can find something in this episode that speaks to you, especially my fellow perfectionists out there! #mypeople God is pleased with your efforts! And if you give Him what you have, however meager it may seem, He CAN use you to do His work! ♥️

I know this isn’t a Come Follow Me podcast but I wanted to share some of my thoughts from this week’s reading in Joseph Smith History. It can be so hard to understand why God lets us experience dark times in our lives but I feel like Joseph’s experience can teach us a lot about what we can learn from those experiences. ❤️

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a year like no other! It has been full of plenty hard things. But I have also seen a lot of good things and I wanted to dedicate an episode focusing on that to end the new year thinking positive and to start the new year with a more hopeful mindset. I’m grateful for my sister-in-law, Chelsea, and all of the beautiful thoughts she shared about her 2020 tender mercies. I would invite y’all to think about the blessings you saw in 2020 and how you can apply the lessons you learned into 2021! 🥳

Please forgive my scatter brain today as I share some thoughts about when you’re not feeling motivated. It’s been a long couple of weeks and I have NOT been feeling it. Super unmotivated and uninspired. But that’s ok! There’s this expectation that we “should” be super motivated and productive all the time. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Hope you enjoy!
