Joe and Korey sit down with Jon Steigerwaldt, the Forest Conservation Director at the Ruffed Grouse Society. They discuss how Jon has forestry in his DNA with forestry being a family tradition. His Grandfather was a Staff Forester during World War II and then founded a Forestry Consulting business. They dive into Jon’s career path in forestry and what he is doing now with the Ruffed Grouse Society. Focusing on the forest species, Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock who need young forests as part of their ecology.
