This episode Nathan and I talk and talk and talk about all things "Catholic!" But if I could narrow it down to one phrase, it would be "Vigilance in Faith!" How to remain vigilant in all life circumstances and how to allow God to meet you where you are at!

C.S. Lewis quote:
“You no longer need a good book, which he really likes, to keep him from his prayers or his work or his sleep; a column of advertisements in yesterday’s paper will do. You can make him waste his time not only in conversation he enjoys with people whom he likes, but in conversation who those he cares nothing about on subjects that bore him… As one of my patients said on his arrival down here, ‘I now see that I spent most of my life in doing neitherwhat I ought norwhat I liked…’It does not matter how small the sins are provided that their cumulative effect is to edge the man away from the Light and out into Nothing. Murder is no better than cards if cards can do the trick. Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one - the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turningsm without milestones, without signposts.”
In this episode we dive deep to get to the root of why surrender is so difficult! I will share a bit of my personal experience with surrender, or lack there of... as well as inspiration from the Saints and of course, the Gospel of John! So lets dive right in!
St. Mother Teresa Quote
"Everyday you have to say, 'YES.' Total surrender. To be where He wants you to be."
Padre Pio Quote
" It is good to aspire to absolute Christian perfection, but it is not necessary to overanalyze our improvements and our daily progress, since we entrust the outcome of our aspirations to God's providence. Let us abandon ourselves into his fatherly arms the way little children would. In order to grow, children eat what their father sets before them every day, trusting it will be proportionate to their appetites and needs."
Gospel of John
John 10:10 John 10:11 John 12:47
John 13:34 John 14:18 John 15:9
John 15:13 John 15:16
