The magical 2018 campaign came to a close for the LIU Post football team during a 20-14 loss to No. 7 seed Slippery Rock University at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 17 in the first round of the NCAA Division II championship.

In its final Northeast-10 Conference championship game, the LIU Post football team took down the University of New Haven in one of the most exciting games in program history, 17-13 in front of a sold-out crowd at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 10.

The Green and Gold captured its 13th conference championship with the victory and completed its third undefeated regular season in program history, improving to 10-0 on the year and extending its win-streak to 15 games.

The LIU Post football team set a new program record with its 14th-consecutive victory on Saturday, Nov. 3, taking down Southern Connecticut State University, 24-13 at Jess Dow Field.

The Pioneer win streak bests the previous mark of 13 wins set during the 1993-94 and 2015-16 seasons. The win marks the fourth 9-0 start in program history as well, happening most recently during the 2016 season.

It was wet, it was windy, and it was all LIU Post as the Pioneer football team exploded during the second half to take down the Assumption College Greyhounds, 21-7.

The win extends the Pioneer win-streak to 13 games, matching the longest unbeaten streak in program history. The 21 points makes it 26-straight contests with the Green and Gold offense scoring 20 or more points.

The No. 18 LIU Post football team rolled to its 12th-consecutive victory on Saturday, Oct. 20 with a 41-6 rout of Pace University inside Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.

The Pioneers made history during the 35-point win, becoming the first team in program history to hold two opponents to zero rushing yards and zero passing yards during the same season.

The LIU Post football team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 37-6 victory against Saint Anselm College in front of a crowd of 2,712 at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on Homecoming.

Senior kicker Joey Tolgyesi drilled a 34-yard attempt with one second remaining in regulation to lift the LIU Post football team past Shippensburg University, 41-39 in a non-conference shootout at Seth Grove Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 6.
