Main Idea: The church is an essential part of our lives and each of us should be involved with God’s people.

Head Change: To understand why we need the institution of the church as well as a personal relationship with Jesus.

Heart Change: To feel connected to and comfortable with church affiliation.

Life Change: To contribute to our community by thriving within our churches.

Main Idea: Our relationship with technology can be both helpful or hurtful and must be managed so we can live spiritually healthy lives.

Take a look at Ephesians 5:8–14. There’s a strong emphasis on darkness and light, and Paul uses some fascinating phrases. In verse 8, he says, “You were darkness” and “you are light.” Not in darkness or light, but are.

How have you heard the idea that all religions are the same expressed?

Why do you think people say that? What’s similar about different religions?

Do you think people who believe all religions are the same have a good understanding of Christianity?

What sets our faith apart? How are we different?

How can we “live a life worthy of our calling” as Paul mentions in the beginning of chapter four? How does he describe that worthy life?
